The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts
eminent scholars to its faculty. It was established in 1922.

The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent upon "Wood's Education Dispatch", and it is one amongst the first three Universities in India.

The university is situated in the southern city of Chennai (formerly known as Madras).
