The University of Mumbai (known earlier as University of Bombay) is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. It was established in 1857 consequent upon "Wood's Education Dispatch", and it is one amongst the first three Universities in India.

The University of Calcutta, also known as Calcutta University, was formally founded on January 24, 1857. It is the first modern university in entire India. The University of Madras is one of the three oldest universities in India .The University of Madras, organized on the model of the University of London, was incorporated on 5 September 1857 by an Act of the Legislative Council of India. The university is situated in the southern city of Chennai (formerly known as Madras).

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT AND COMMERCE (IIMC) was founded in the year 1973 by Vasavi Foundation (settled by Vasavi Seva Kendram and Vysya Hostel Trust Board) with B.Com (Hons) Degree.
